How is my donation spent?

All our expenses support our mission of Home Based Care for orphans and widows through our army of local church partners and volunteers. We are committed to being the “hands and feet of Jesus” to dying and at-risk orphans and widows.

Awareness and Fundraising: Letting you know what the needs are and how to make a difference in the life of an orphan and widow.

Administration: This is how we “keep the lights on” and ensure every dollar is spent strategically and with integrity.

Program: Implementing, monitoring and evaluating Home Based Care on the ground is the end result of your gift and the reason we exist.

Where and how we work:

Currently, we are involved in South Africa, Malawi, and Zambia. We have recently extended our ministry reach to orphans and widows fleeing the conflict in Ukraine. A network of churches in western Ukraine and eastern Poland, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia have opened their facilities as refugee centres. The big need is food. So WOW is helping fund the purchase of groceries, feeding these precious souls in their flight to freedom.

Everything we do is in partnership with local churches and dedicated to community transformation.

Most, but not all of our volunteers, are women, many of them vulnerable widows themselves. A critical feature of our care is the mitigation of gender-based violence. Every church in our ministry orbit has become a champion of young women and girls.

We operate modestly but effectively and have done so for over 20 years.
